Watch What you Drink at GOP Events

He does have a residence in Peoria, was elected as a precinct committeeman (requiring a Peoria residence) and can be found in Peoria on virtually any day. I think the point of the article was that he is not affiliated with any of the legislative (i.e. Springfield) staffs, something which Smith and Spears can not say.

On the last finance report, your hero, Aaron Schock filed in late July, his campaign lists Shearer as a campaign expenditure. The address listed for Shearer is in Spring Valley, IL.
When Shearer requested a copy of Spears ballot petitions from the IL State Board of Elections, he listed the very same address in Spring Valley as his residence. You can call him a local if you want, but we both know that isn't the case.

It appears that Shearer may be worse than one of Spears "Chicago Democrats" and in fact is a "Washington DC Republican hatchet man". He shows up as an expenditure for Dale Risinger with an address listed in McLean, Virginia. Isn't he also splitting his time as a hatchet man for Jerry "I married a dictator's daughter" Weller, another DC Republican stuffing his campaign coffers with lobbyist cash?

I think the voters deserve better than Schock, a guy who brings in high paid Washington DC based political consultants like Shearer. He even brought in Wilson Grand Communications from Alexandria, Virginia to handle video production. Wilson Grand is led by Republican Consultant Paul Wilson which claim many Republican congressmen and governors as clients. I don't know about you, but that is not local to me.

Schock has been mentored by Rep Leitch, many even claim Leitch told Schock how to vote and keep his personal life quiet. Schock has even "paid" Leitch's secretary as a "consultant", I bet she doesn't serve him as well as she does Leitch. If Aaron " I wanna be a career politician" Schock and David "I bang my secretary" Leitch are what you aspire to , I would suggest that you find a new role model, like Rep Moffit from Galesburg or Rep Dan Brady out of Bloomington. Neither cut the same figure as Schock nor Leitch, but I doubt either Schock or Leitch emulate your values very much.

By the way, where else is Paul Wilson working? Republican Katherine Harris was the Secretary of State in Florida in 2000 during the Bush v Gore election. His firm is also handling media for Republican Ken Blackwell the Secretary of State in Ohio during the 2004 Bush v Kerry race. I am sure he is "local" too.
