More Handjobs for LaHood, Schock

PJStar.com - Journal Star News

You ever wonder why the public, generally speaking, doesn't trust reporters? I would ask you to take a look at the this poll from the UK which found that reporters are perceived as less honest than politicians.

Handjob I

This time it isn't the editorial board stroking Lahood.

U.S. Rep. Ray LaHood agrees that not since he presided over the impeachment hearings of former President Bill Clinton has he received as much media attention as he did last week. And he didn't even do anything.

Except make a complete ass out of hisself everytime he opened his mouth.

All LaHood did was be willing to offer his opinion on the scandal - something a lot of Republicans weren't so eager to do.

Because they don't want to take a dip in the world of shit Hastert is swimming in. Ray is too stupid to stay out of the pool

The result was a flood of press inquiries - from the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, CNN, National Public Radio, Los Angeles Times and so on. He was even on Larry King Live, a first for the Peoria Republican.

Where he got his ass handed to him by some hick from Florida. Ray, tone down the make up and stay off of TV when you are not in Peoria where you only get softballs you can handle.

"People know I'm close to the speaker. (Also) there weren't a lot of Republicans who were willing to do interviews. I came out pretty strong and pretty early."

By blaming the workers instead of the boss you sack of shit.

Despite the heat he's taken for saying the page program should be halted, LaHood has no regrets.

"I think I said the right thing, that there's a flaw in the system." (J.D.)

There you go again, thinking-just keep you big mouth shut. By the way instead of giving LaHood the handjob, why not ask him why he didn't prepare before going on TV so he doesn't make the whole area look like uncaring and uneducated. Christ the guy is an embarrassment to both Democrats and Republicans. Almost as embarrassing as your softball questions.

Handjob part II

While LaHood steps out front on the House page scandal, the local Democrats are reaching.
Peoria County Democratic Party Chairman Billy Halstead called on Rep. Aaron Schock to return the money he raised several weeks ago during a fundraising event headlined by House Speaker Dennis Hastert.

Reaching just like Bob Novak, who say GOP hopefuls want Hastert nowhere near them

We look on this as a Bush event, not a Hastert event," an aide to one of the Republican candidates told this column.

What? They would rather have Bush there than Hastert? Evidently the reporter didn't get a chance to see any newspaper in the United States last week, but that is understandable, it is hard to see with one's head burried in the sand.

Schock's camp responds that all of the money was raised locally from Peoria-area residents who came out to support the Republican Illinois House candidate. Yes, Hastert spoke at the event, but Schock says he didn't take money from Speaker Hastert - "not one red penny."

When you read it, it almost looks like you wrote it instead of Washington DC political consultant Steve Shearer.

Hastert spoke in Peoria months ago, long before anyone locally had ever even heard of Foley, let alone the House page program or of an alleged cover-up by Republican leaders. What's he supposed to do? Return the money to the hundreds of local supporters who came out to sponsor him?

Evidently when you say months, his visit was in September (last month), counting October (this month) that would be two, but I think you may be reaching.

Handjob III

Illinois Senate President Emil Jones, a Democrat from Chicago, will speak on behalf of Democrat Senate candidate Dave Koehler from 5 to 7 p.m.

Funny when Hastert was mentioned it did not say that he is a Washington DC Republican. I am not surprised though. When Spears and Koehler win in November you may find it difficult to get any stories. You may get lucky and Schock pulls this off, he will owe you big.

Check this out: LaHood is on Crooks and Liars. That is as close to big-time as this clown is going to get.

He actually got LAUGHED AT.

Too bad that they couldn't have airbrushed the background which has the Peoria skyline.
